The terms that apply to our quotations, contracts and the works we carry out for you.
Last updated: January 2026 · Taisei Construction Ltd · 113-116 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 4AF
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Quotations are based on the scope, drawings and information available at the time of survey and assume normal working hours and unobstructed access unless agreed otherwise in writing.
A quotation becomes a contract once you accept it in writing and we confirm a start date.
Prices are fixed for the scope quoted. Payment terms are set out in your quotation, normally as staged payments tied to defined milestones with the final payment due on practical completion.
Invoices are payable within 14 days unless agreed otherwise. We reserve the right to charge statutory interest on overdue amounts under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
Any change to the agreed scope, whether requested by you or arising from genuinely unforeseen site conditions, will be documented as a written variation stating the cost and any programme effect. We will not carry out varied work until the variation is approved.
Concealed defects, asbestos, non-compliant existing installations and unrecorded services are examples of matters that may give rise to a variation.
Start dates and durations are given in good faith based on our planned resourcing. We will notify you promptly of any delay and its cause. We are not liable for delays caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including late client decisions, third-party contractors, statutory undertakers, extreme weather or material supply failure.
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the working areas, together with a supply of water and electricity where required. Where we cannot access site at an agreed time, standing time may be chargeable.
Our workmanship is guaranteed as stated in your contract documentation, with 10 years on structural and heating installations. Manufacturer warranties on supplied equipment are registered in your name and are subject to the manufacturer's own terms, including any servicing requirements.
Our guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by others, misuse, lack of required servicing, or works subsequently altered by another contractor.
Where you engage us as a consumer you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering the contract, unless you have asked us to begin work within that period, in which case we may charge for work already carried out and materials ordered.
Cancellation after mobilisation may incur costs for materials procured, labour committed and plant hired.
We maintain public liability, employer's liability and contract works insurance as described on our accreditations page. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service please raise it with your project manager in the first instance, or email info@taisei.com. As FMB members we also participate in independent dispute resolution where a matter cannot be settled directly.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
